Smart Broadband Fraud?

By Deus

I’m a user of Smart broadband. I used it whenever no WI-FI hotspot in the area. Recently, I load worth 30 pesos supposed to be it has one and half hours of connectivity. In my surprised, I was terminated and a prompt appeared http://m.smart.com.ph/wapnobalance/index.php, I only use it for one hour. I’m sure of that because I timed my usage and it was affirmed by the time indicated in the broadband. And I thought it was by accident, however the issue of unwanted losing of load happened again and again. If SMART allegedly, get just for a minute in an every smart broadband subscriber; its million worth of fraud. What is our protection against this allegedly SMART BROADBAND FRAUD? Is the other provider like GLOBE TATTOO, and SUN CELLULAR BROADBAND has the same issue? NTC can you help us on these? Or you are coward to the giants of Telcos to confess what really happening? To my fellow subscribers, don’t hesitate to give your feedback about this issue? Moreover, Government should impose higher tax to these 3 giant telcos not in basic commodities or to Petroleum Company; maybe it’s about time that you the Government give us, public, the favor. Consumers don’t have protection from this fraud. I’m beseeching you to arise!

Meet the Great Outdoors According to ROX

An article from Sunday Inquirer magazine published last April 19, 2009 caught my attention. ‘Meet The Great Outdoors’ is the title of the article. Maybe it is a paid advertisement of Recreational Outdoor Exchange (R.O.X.). Anyways, according to this article, April and May are the best months of the year to visit these marvelous Philippine destinations.

1. Mt. Apo at Davao City. – Scale the tallest peak in the Philippine at 9691 feet above sea level.
2. Mt. Banahaw at Quezon Province.- visit the ‘sacred mountain’ and a must visit is the famous mystical ‘Husgado’ cave.
3. Mt. Kanlaon at Negros Occidental- it is considered the ‘sacred volcano’ in the province.
4. Mt. Mayon at Legazpi City, Albay. – Known for its perfectly symmetrical cone.
5. Batad Trek at Banaue, Mountain Province. – One of the grandest views of the rice terrace can be seen from Batad.
6. Mt. Pinatubo Trek with Sulfur Bath. – Plunged on the 2.5 km blue crater lake and also you may take a dip in the hot sulfur spring pools in Tarukan or enjoy a foot spa, hot thermal bath or hot sand bath.
7. Mt. Arayat Trek at Brgy. San Juan Bano, Arayat Pampanga. – Two trails lead to the peak of this dormant volcano. A side trip of bird watching in Candaba, Pampanga is growing in popular to those embracing adventure.
8. Taal Volacano Trek at Batangas City. – A boat ride from Tagaytay to Taal Island, to the jump off point for the trail to the tip of the crater of the smallest volcano.

A Place of Worship

By Deus

I’m doing these not to seclude one’s religion I just would like to urge the concerned agency in the Manila Airports to establish a place of worship where our brother Muslim can engaged in their religious activity. Whenever I travel to certain areas in the Philippines I often observed that our Muslim brother wherever possible went to a corner with a small carpet in their hand and conducts their religious activity; please give them equal rights since we are living in one earth. I hope that this open letter would pave the way to improvements of Airports in Manila.

Thanks and regards,

My Heart Sings by 311 (Dedicated to Ms. Ofalyn)

4 A.M. this hotel room and I think of you

Not in anger, but in danger of calling you
My mind's a long, long way from it was dead
And now the good times just keep drifting back in, woah

Breathe it on out the end will come so freely
You'll figure it out the answer will come so clearly dear
Let it all go cause we can't know just what will be
Hard it is to set you free
It's so much easier that way

My heart sings when I think of you
That is what you do
A melody that will settle me
That is just the thought of you
My heart sings and it's time you knew, yeah
My heart sings

I'm not made of stone, I'm only flesh and bone
I'm half crazy and amazed that you are alone
Let's sit on the shore, watch the ocean breathe (sit and watch the ocean breathe)
It's getting dark but we both don't want to leave, woah

Breathe it on out the end will come so freely
You'll figure it out the answer will come so clearly dear
Let it all go cause we can't know just what will be
Hard it is to set you free
It's so much easier that way

My heart sings when I think of you
That is what you do
A melody that will settle me
That is just the thought of you
My heart sings and it's time you knew, yeah
My heart sings
My heart sings

Woah, woah, woah

My heart sings, my heart sings when I think of you, yeah
You wake up me when I'm lost at sea
Bring me back to you, yeah
We can know just what we'll be
What the future brings
But my heart sings
My heart sings
My heart sings

Dreaming, hoping, wishing and waiting

For a long time now, I’m wondering how I can meet my long time crush Ms. Mary Ofalyn D. Cruz but the day has ended and finally last 03 July 2009 I saw her in Star Mall located at Mandaluyong City. But the circumstances don’t permit me while having a discussion with my client. I wanted to stop in my doing and go to her to say how much I admire and missed her. Since college days, these feelings never settled down.

Out of nowhere, you came along. Your existence made my presence float in the air. I never felt these way again. The mantle of green ambiance, the blue skies and your enchanted beauty radiates and filled the empty space inside me. Even when I’m asleep I always have you in my dreams and when I open my eyes all I see is you. I hope we could have time together and explore the horizon of possibilities.

When can I see my ms Mary Ofalyn Cruz?

Dreaming, hoping, wishing and waiting……Deus

Infamous Pico de Loro

By Deus

Pico de Loro gained much attention to nature aficionados and adventure seekers as a good weekend getaway. For mountaineering group it served as a training ground to scale one’s fitness. Basically, hikers will always include Pico de Loro to their itineraries. And my Deus adventure is no exception to that, so here I am telling you my highlights of my trip to Mt. Palay-Palay-Pico de Loro.

A group of 37 mountaineers endure days of exhaustion putting themselves to the test to conquer the mountain, last 31 January to 1 February 2009. This is so far my biggest group I ever joined, it comprised of almost freelance mountaineer from the URC Outdoor and Recreation Club, represented by Sir Ranniel, my former group; from the group of Sir Moi and Sir EL; and from the group of Sir Jay.

We assembly at Chowking EDSA Central Mandaluyong about 5 in the morning then we proceed to Baclaran. From there, we were joined by the rest of the group of Sir EL. We arranged for transportation going to Ternate, Cavite. We managed to get an ‘aircool’ bus for 4 thousand pesos, roughly 108 pesos each since we are only 37 pax. After of few stops to the grocery and gasoline station, we arrived at the Jump-off point of Magnetic Hill Ternate. It took us barely 3 hours of travel.

From the jump-off point, we were asked by a lady saying that she came from DENR and we were asked to register and pay a 20 pesos registration fees for each climber. What a good ‘business; I’m not against with the collection of fees, what I’m in opposition to, is that the lady don’t have identification to prove that she is really an employee of DENR and she don’t gave us a receipt that will served as our proof that we already paid. Also, if they issued proper receipt we might say that the fees that they collected will proceed to the government as form of profit but it never happened. They just collected fees and disappeared. Enough for my sentiments, let’s get back to my adventure.

The trail is gentle with some minor steep trails. After an hour of hiking we reached the ‘kubo’ or the base camp 1. The family of Mang Rey lived their and also requested for a 20 pesos registration fees for each climber. I cope some time to ask some questions to the wife of Mang Rey, according to her since they are involve in the management of the trails and they provide a comfort room for climbers most likely they need some minimal fees to compensate such cost.

We ate lunch, had a rest for a couple of hours and leave the base camp1 by 1 in the afternoon. After passing to woodlands and some series of bamboo forest, at last we reached the summit.

We waited for the sunset but unfortunately the clouds covered the sun merely dragging it down, nevertheless, a gust sea breeze and of clouds passed us leaving our body chilling to death. Even though I wanted to scale the tower of Pico de Loro but the nature don’t permitted us. Since, the wind is very strong, we decide not to scale the mountain. There will be always a next time. I shall return and I will conquer the ‘Parrot’s Beak’. After a series of photo shoot, we descended.

We ate dinner and exchanged meal with the other group. Beef Teriyaki and ‘Ampalaya’ con carne filled our stomach that night. The night was so young then, when we had our socials. We had fun and drink a lot.

Second day, our itinerary was to break camp early for us to dedicated much time exploring the nearby beaches. Early in the morning, we ate breakfast and drink coffee. Break camp. We had a group picture taking and then descended to Nasugbu trail.

The path to Bgy Papaya, Nasugbu was somewhat confusing so we had a hard time finding the trail but God is great, we reached the Bgy Papaya, Nasugbu by lunch time. We arranged transportation going to the resort and to terminal at Nasugbu to Manila. On our way to the resort, we saw Pico de Loro Cove, a residential and luxury resort complex at Nasugbu, Batangas. The pavements were defined going to the cove; we can conclude that Mr Henry Sy Sr has an utter control with the area.

Barely fifteen minutes from the drop point. We reached the public resort. Then after a couple of hours of plunging in the sea water, we leaved Pico de Loro but the memories will always remain.

Follow me as I provide you with a glimpse to see God’s art works and try for it yourself in my next adventure.

Is The Philippine Government Prepared for The Effect of Global Warming

by Deus

During the past week of April 2007, we had experienced drastic changes in temperature. PAGASA recorded a looming 39 degrees in Celsius in Tuguegarao. From the point of view of other people, this is the result of global warming, but on the other hand, scientists are not giving any comments with this alarming condition. Nature is beseeching as to act on how to help heal the environment. The first world countries such USA is now in the stage of passing and implementing guidelines and laws about global warming. In contrary, in developing countries like us don’t have ammunition to use in growing the awareness of the Filipinos. We are pleased to acknowledge WWF (World Wildlife Federation) in making some effort to uplift the level of awareness of the people to help save the environment and wildlife as well. Here are some ways might help prevent global warming to occur.

Plant a Tree. By planting trees we can neutralize the green house effect.
Save energy. By conserving your daily consumption of energy; we are also conserving coal consumption of power plant that produces the energy we’re using. Furthermore, other tips worth including for - switch-off unused lights and read articles about energy-efficient consumption.

We can attain our goals by doing ‘bayanihan’ these is what we are known for. By doing this, we can the help of the government; we can be all on the right track decreasing the effect of global warming.

Every things you’ve shares, it reciprocates by four folds. SO if you managed to share to 5 persons you’ll have 20 persons thanking you in return.

And if you don't send this - who cares?
But do share this with someone. Deus it!

Angono Petroglyphs in Binangonan

By Deus

During Holy Weeks in the Philippines, people got taste of long vacation,--no class, and no work. Some stay in their home to spend quality time with their family; some take a plunge in beaches and on various resort; some do nothing they only want to have a rest/ peace of mind. Also it is a time in the year where people remember the sacrifice done of Lord Jesus Christ for redemption for our sins.

Last Black Saturday, I decided to spend the day walking, taking pictures and gave respect to the respective chapels I passed by. I walked by my footsteps; my itinerary started at Antipolo City and ended my travel at East Ridge Golf Club at Binangonan Rizal. In my adventure I met Lola Ina from Upper Sakura; she was kind enough to let me charged the battery of my digital camera for free. In our conversation, she told me a cave nearby that I might want to explore, then, I asked her the details. And eventually, I explore the cave and took me roughly two hours. The trail going to cave is very confusing. And take note of the pseudo entrance of the cave, you might end up tumbling down beneath the surface. It has many chambered and; boasts of massive rock formation, and skylights. I wanted to further explore the cave but the time doesn’t permit me. I endured mild dehydration because I only brought 500 ml of water. I’m looking for Gatorade or Rush Fitness Water in the Sari-Sari Store for faster rehydration but it was not available. Only Cobra Energy Drink was available. I bought one and drunk it. It replenished my energy but I’m still thirsty. Gatorade and Rush Fitness Water still the best for me. Prior to my exploration of the cave at Madrigal, I went to Angono Petroglyphs. It is considered as a highly significant cultural landmark because of it’s the oldest known work of art in the Philippines. Human and animal like figure are engraved on the rock wall made of volcanic tuff. The figures also considered the oldest known art work in the Philippines, dating back to circa 3000 B.C. I hope that more efforts should be done in the preservation of these one of a kind art work since vandalism is evident in the rock wall. Help us preserve these for the generations to come; we should share the beauty of nature not destroying it.

Much of the talking, I’ll organize an expedition but not in solo, now as a group. I’ll post the outcome of our exploration next time. A piece of an advice if you plan for solo expedition, please think twice. I suggest asking for guide from the local villager there.

Thank you for reading my blog. -Deus

Whore of Deception

By Deus

We gave you our trust

Promises after promises

But only left are premises

Continue, our rage will burst

Turning the world around

Behold, Behold, Behold

Whore of deception

End for your desperation

Standing in the of misery – fuck your better half

For he is the reason why us living on depression

In the flame of hatred I beseech you dance for your redemption

Continue and you’ll see the fury of the nation

Allow me to give you the fucking decision

Cut throat, cut throat in two half

Blood will spilled on the promise land

Smashed head and scrambled brain will be fed to needy

Live in torment for you are so much greedy

Scraped vagina grilled on fire ready for the feast

Slice burned flesh all set for the beast

Bones were incinerated while teeth served as ornamental

Turning the world around

Behold, Behold, Behold

Whore of deception

End for your desperation

Pulp Summer Slam IX Countdown to Extinction

On my previous post, I provide you details about the Pulp Summer Slam IX. Now, I’ll share my experienced from that congregation of Philippine Metal heads.

It was my eight times minus the second year due to unforeseen circumstances I don’t attended the concert. Many had changed for example the venue from Rizal Stadium in Pasig City to this new home of Pulp Summer Slam at Amoranto Stadium in Quezon City. As years passed the audience became younger and younger. Summer Slam on one way or another it helps build the Pinoy Metal Scene regardless of your music genre to its new level. Sometime we couldn’t differentiate which is local or the foreign bands from the rest. It only proves that we are competitive enough globally as music as concern.

Before the day of the concert, the rain heavy pouring down and three low pressure area were spotted by the PAGASA. I told to myself, it was doomed if the rain kept on falling. Morning, day of the concert; I’m hesitant because the rain was still falling down. But suddenly, it was after lunch then, the skies cleared and the prayer of the metal fans succeeded. So, I’m ready to go. I prepare myself again for an enduring entrance line up, for exhausting line up of crowd without sense of direction just to buy T-Shirt from Tribal Gear (time was wasted and enjoyment time lessen), and seemed endlessly waiting for your turn for the pungent smell portable comfort room. As always and might not be improved unless the organizer tried to become an audience or part of the crowd before they could act on these. As for security, they managed the crowd well but sometimes the bouncer our very annoying. Generally, the concert for me it turned to be big success. Thanks for the organizer Pulp Vernon Go, Julia Clarette from Eat Bulaga emcee and to all Sponsors like Red Horse Beer, Pizza Hut, Tribal Gear, and Smart Telecommunication and their staffs. ‘Mabuhay ang Philippine Metal Scene’.

A new breed of Metal up rises and ready to turn global.

I hope I can be a part of this growing community.

Labor Day: Jobapalooza 2009

By Deus

These will be the biggest gathering of jobless people in the country today. It is initiate by the government through the effort of Department of Labor and employment, Globe telecoms, BDO SM Mall of Asia, Jobstreet.com,Phil-job.net, STI, Philippine Online Chronicles, City of Manila, and City of Pasay. More than 300 employers and over 60,000 + jobs will be posted and ready for deployment. Registration starts at 9am at SM Mall of Asia. But, I won’t try my luck. Why? I am disappointed with the outcome of my application to the different employer I came a crossed. I have the experienced but the companies could only give me a cheap wages and sub standard benefits. Enough for my sentiments lets go back with the article. Be there early, employer wouldn’t wait you it is us needing the favor. But in reality, it should be vice versa, it’s the employer needs us. Employee is one key to success of every business. They should invest on us. If the employers want to have a decent people give them remorse as respect with wages and benefits. Sorry I got carried away again.

Labor Day- May 01, Jobapalooza 2009 will be exciting because 300+ employers will be there. Also, career talks, seminars, trainings, skills demonstration, distribution of training vouchers, scholarships will be given. A raffle: house & lot, “pangkabuhayan” packages and other freebies will add for excitement. And lastly, a concert by top Filipino bands will show off powers to close the program. A simple suggestions, be there on time, wear neat and appropriate clothing, be polite and bring a liter of patience because lots of negative persons will be there also. Shake them off and be smart. Good luck to all and God Bless.

We have the power to change the society by sharing this message to your friends.

A drug that relieves pain. And because pain is a subjective experience that can arise from many causes, there are many ways that drugs can be used to relieve it. However, the term analgesic is best restricted to two main classes of drug. First, the narcotic analgesics are drugs such as Morphine, which have powerful actions on the central nervous system and alter the perception of pain. Second, non-analgesics are drugs such as Aspirin, which have no serious tendency to produce dependence, but are by no means free of side-effects. As part from these two main classes, there are other drugs that are sometimes referred to as analgesics because of their ability to relieve the pain.

Phenylpropanolamine

A Sympathomimetic drug that has a strong relaxant effect on certain muscles of the body, including especially the muscles of the bladder that contract to allow urine to escape through the urethra. Therefore, the drug is primarily used under medical supervision to treat urinary inconsistence. However, it is used also to relieve the symptoms of some allergic disorder, such as asthma and hay fever, often when administered with an antihistamine.

Side-effects:

There are many anxiety, restlessness and insomnia, with dry mouth, sweating, and cold extremities; urinary retention may occur. Some patients experience tremor and heartbeat irregularities.

Warning:

It should not be administered to patients with high blood pressure (hypertension), over activity of the thyroid gland (hyperthyroidism), coronary heart disease or diabetes, or who are taking antidepressant drugs.

Salbutamol

A Bronchodilator, of the type known as a selective Beta-receptor stimulant, used to treat asthmatic bronchospasm, emphysema and chronic bronchitis. It is sometimes also used to prevent or delay premature labour. It has fewer cardiac side-effects than previous drugs of its type. It is administered orally in the form of tablets, as sustained-release tablets, as a sugar free liquid, and as an inhalant from aerosol, nebulizer, inhalation cartridge, powder disc, or ventilator; it is also administered by injection or infusion.

Side-effects:

There may be headache and nervous tension, associated with tingling of the fingertips and a fine tremor of the hands.

Warning:

It should be administered with caution to patients with disorders of the thyroid gland, heart disease or hypertension (high blood pressure), who are elderly, or who are pregnant.

Carbocisteine

A mucolytic drug, used accordingly to reduce viscosity of sputum and thus facilitate expectoration (the coughing up of sputum) in patients with disorders of the upper respiratory tract such as asthma and bronchitis. It may also used to treat accumulation of mucus in the middle ear in children.

Side-effects:

Uncommon, but there may be gastrointestinal disturbance, with nausea, or a rash.

Warning:

Carbocisteine should not be administered to patients with a peptic ulcer; it should be administered with caution to those who are pregnant.

Diphenhydramine Hydrochloride

An Anti-histamine, one of the first to discover, used to treat allergic conditions such as hay fever and urticaria, some forms of dermatitis, and some sensitivity reactions to drugs. Its additional sedative properties are useful in the treatment of some allergic conditions, but the fact that it is also an Antinauseant makes it useful in the treatment or prevention of travel sickness, vertigo, and infections of the inner and middle ears too. Administration is oral in the form of capsules.

Side-effects:

Sedation may effect patient’s capacity for speed of thought and movement; there may be headache and/ or weight gain, dry mouth, gastrointestinal disturbances and visual problems.

Warning:

Diphenhydramine hydrochloride should not be administered to patients with glaucoma, urinary retention, intestinal obstruction, enlargement of the prostate glands, or peptic ulcer, or who are pregnant; it should be administered with caution to those who suffer from epilepsy or liver disease.

Dextromethorphan

An antitussive, an opiate that is used singly or in combination with other drugs in linctuses, syrups and lozenges to relieve dry or painful coughs.

Side-effects:

Constipation is a comparatively common side effect.

Warning:

Dextromethorphan should not be administered to patients who suffer from liver disease. Used as a linctus, it may cause sputum retention, which may be injurious to patients with asthma, chronic bronchitis or bronchiectasis (two conditions for which linctuses are common prescribed).

Mefenamic Acid

A non-steroidal, anti-inflammatory, non-narcotic Analgesic. It is primarily used to treat mild to moderate pain in rheumatic disease and other musculo-skeletal disorders, although it may also be used either to reduce high body temperature (especially in children) or to lessen the pain of menstrual problems.

Side-effects:

There may be drowsiness and dizziness; some patients experience nausea; gastrointestinal disturbances may eventually result in ulceration. Treatment should be withdrawn if diarrhoea, jaundice, anaemia or sensitivity reactions such as asthma like symptoms occur.

Warning:

It should not be administered to patients with inflammations in the intestines, peptic ulcers or impaired liver or kidney function; or who are pregnant. It should be administered with caution to those with any allergic condition (including asthma). Prolonged treatment requires regular blood counts.

Ibuprofen

A non-steroidal, Anti-Inflammatory, non-narcotic Analgesic drug used primarily to treat the pain of rheumatism and other musculo-skeletal disorders, but also used sometimes to treat other forms of pain, including menstrual pain (dysmenorrhoea). In its anti-inflammatory capacity it is not as powerful as many other drugs, however, and dosage tends to be high to compensate. Administration is oral in the form of tablets or sustained release capsules, or syrup.

Side-effects:

Administration with or following meals reduces the risk of gastrointestinal disturbance and nausea. But there may be headache, dizziness and ringing in the ears (tinnitus), and some patients experience sensitivity reactions or blood disorders. Occasionally, there is fluid retention.

Warning:

It shoud be administered with caution to patients with impaired liver or kidney function, gastric ulcers, or severe allergies (including asthma), or who are pregnant.
